About Wrendale

Wrendale Designs is an award-winning designer, maker and publisher of greeting cards, stationery and giftware featuring the delightful artwork of artist Hannah Dale. Amongst a love of the outdoors Wrendale produce high quality design-led products which often feature added little touches to making them feel extra special.
Hannah Dale began Wrendale Designs in 2012 on a crowded kitchen table in Melton Ross, Lincolnshire. Having a pretty eclectic background (studying art at school before reading Zoology at Cambridge University followed by five years as a stockbroker in London), Hannah found herself married to a Lincolnshire farmer with a young baby and a desperation to find an outlet for her artistic roots. She turned her hand to sewing, furnishing the windows of many friends and family with beautiful curtains and blinds, and also making personalised nursery paintings for children which proved very popular.
Inspired by the pretty Lincolnshire countryside, Hannah started to paint hares; embracing their expressive faces and wonderful personalities. After printing these designs as greeting cards on a hand selected textured board, she began sharing these with local gift shops and immediate success was born. Hannah expanded her repertoire and began painting other animals – the rest as they say is history!
Since then the company has won five prestigious Henries awards for their greeting cards and supplies cards and giftware all over the world. A collaboration with Portmeirion also sees Hannah’s designs appear on mugs, ceramics and melamine kitchen items. Collector’s of the range will love the country kitchen tinware collection including cake tins, storage canisters and a very handy recipe tin, as well as cushions, fabrics and a soft furnishings collection. Wrendale Designs were awarded a Queens Award for export in 2019 for their excellence in international trade, and their success continues to soar overseas.
As the business has grown, it has kept family values as Hannah’s husband Jack runs the business with an energetic team in place at their offices in Brigg. Hannah focuses on what she enjoys most – painting, producing wonderful watercolour designs for us all to enjoy.
